DataStore

DataStore – Isolated Content Repository for Structured Data Management

A DataStore in EveryDataStore ECM represents an isolated content repository where specific sets of business data are securely stored, organized, and processed. Each DataStore functions as a standalone workspace — for example, one DataStore may represent a parent company, while others serve individual subsidiaries or departments.

Modular Architecture for Scalable Information Management

Each DataStore includes its own set of configurations, models, and user assignments. The following elements are independently managed within each content repository:

  • Menu – Custom navigation structure per DataStore
  • RecordSets – Structured data models like contracts, invoices, or projects
  • RecordSetItems – The actual entries or documents belonging to a RecordSet
  • RecordSetItemData – All metadata and form inputs tied to an individual RecordSetItem
  • Members – Users assigned to this specific content repository
  • Groups - Role-based access control and permission management within the DataStore
  • Configurations – System-wide and UI-related settings specific to each DataStore
  • Apps and Widgets – Tools and dashboard components customized per repository
  • Translations – Multilingual support and UI localization

Managing Your DataStores

DataStores are managed through the backend under EveryDataStore > DataStore. Administrators can create, configure, and maintain multiple repositories to reflect company structures, project scopes, or client-specific needs.

Use Cases

DataStores as isolated content repositories are ideal for:

  • Segmented data domains for different departments or business units
  • Client-specific repositories in multi-client systems
  • Maintaining clean separation between development, staging, and production data

Thanks to their isolated structure and flexible configuration, DataStores ensure secure and efficient collaboration. Each repository operates independently while leveraging the core functionality of EveryDataStore ECM.
